Yor-zone has been developed by Youth Support Services, working alongside partners from across the voluntary, community and faith sectors and young people. The aim is to bring together all these services and activities for young people in one place

Adding or updating

We need to make sure that information about services and organisations are as up to date as possible, so if your service is not listed on here or you need to update your information, you can do this in a number of ways.

If you have any difficulty using the online system or would like to speak to someone you can also use the contact details below:

  • Email any changes to

  • Text ‘update’ to 07624 802244 and we will call you back
  • By freepost to: Family Information Service, ACE, Freepost NEA204, PO Box 404, York. YO1 6ZZ.

Adding articles and content

We are keen that the site regularly features new articles about the things that young people in York are doing- so if you have a new service or activity, have done something great, or the young people you work with have something they want to share they can do this simply by completing this form.

Twitter and facebook

We tweet and update our Facebook status regularly- if there are particularly events/ services/ resources/ achievements you want us to promote you can let us know either by email:  (please make sure you stick to the 140 character limit and tell us when you want it to go out) or by following us @YorZone - we will then follow you and retweet relevant bits.

Promoting yor-zone (posters, postcards, business cards ...)

We have posters, postcards, business card available to promote the site - if you would like some please get in touch

York Youth Sector Network

Alongside this we are also creating a new cross sector network where information and resources can be shared. Anyone working with young people can join this be signing up on If you would like more information about this partnership contact
