About St Nicks:
St Nicks is a small charity located in Tang Hall, York encompassing an Environment Centre and a 24-acre nature reserve. Our aim is to help York residents move toward a sustainable future by carrying out a range of projects including: a zero-carbon kerbside recycling collection service, a sustainable education programme, an award-winning volunteer programme and events throughout the year. Our organisation started by transforming a landfill site into a thriving Local Nature Reserve (LNR) which we continue to enhance and develop with the help of our volunteers.

St Nicks’ volunteers carry out a range of tasks, from practical conservation work on the nature reserve to logging wildlife, helping with events to administrative office work. We offer volunteer positions to suit every ability or level or experience.
