Riding the Storm is a four week course, run by Relate, that focuses on improving communication between parents and their teenagers.

Suitable for parents of 13 – 18s.

In three hour sessions, it covers topics such as:

  • What you were like as a teenager?
  • What pressures there are for teenagers in the 21st century.
  • Labelling.
  • Communication skills.
  • Building self-esteem.
  • Dealing with stress.
  • Setting and keeping boundaries.
  • Relationships between parents.
  • Support mechanisms.
  • Additional information around sex/drug awareness where needed.
